Red Island

The tiny island of Crveni Otok, known as the Red Island and also as the Wellness Island, is just a 15-minute taxi-boat ride from Rovinj. This charming island paradise is in fact made up of two smaller islands, Sveti Andrija and Maskin, joined together by a causeway. It ideally complements the beauty of Rovinj and its fascinating surroundings. Almost 200 species of plants flourish here in the mild Adriatic climate. The island is characterised by lush pine woodland, idyllic coves and inviting beaches, among the best in the Rovinj area. Maskin Island is reserved for naturists and has an attractive terrace an à la a carte restaurant, beach showers and a volleyball court. Sveti Andrija boasts superb wellness facilities. The wellness oasis at the Mediterranean-style Hotel Istria covers around 1350 square metres. The taxi-boat service from Rovinj to Crveni Otok runs approximately every 30 minutes.
